Refund & Cancellation Policy

The short version

ClariLung offers a 7-day free trial of Premium. After the trial, your subscription renews automatically at the rate you chose ($3.99/week, $6.99/month, or $49.99/year). You can cancel any time — your access continues through the end of the billing period you already paid for. Refunds beyond that depend on where you bought the subscription.

1. How cancellation works

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. It does not delete your account, your streak, your craving history, or your journal, and it does not trigger an automatic refund for time already paid.

  • Bought through iOS / iPad: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → ClariLung Premium → Cancel Subscription. Apple handles the billing relationship.
  • Bought through Android: Google Play Store → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ClariLung Premium → Cancel.
  • Bought through our website: Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription. This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel or change plans.

2. Refunds by purchase channel

Refunds are issued by whoever processed the payment. We cannot refund an Apple or Google charge directly — they have to do it.

Apple App Store (iPhone / iPad)

Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple reviews each request and typically responds within 48 hours. Apple's policies — not ours — determine eligibility.

Google Play Store (Android)

Google offers automatic refunds within 48 hours of purchase via the Play Store app. After that window, request a refund at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. We review and approve these directly.

Direct (Stripe) purchases — web

If you subscribed through clarilung.com, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the original purchase or most recent renewal — no questions asked — by emailing ceo@duskfieldstudios.com. Include your account email and the approximate date of the charge so we can find it quickly. We process direct refunds within 5 business days; they typically appear on your card within another 5–10 days depending on your bank.

3. Partial-period refunds

We do not prorate refunds for unused portions of a weekly, monthly, or yearly subscription after the 14-day window. If you cancel on day 20 of a monthly plan, you keep Premium access through day 30 and are not charged again. Weekly plans follow the same rule within the 14-day window of the original purchase.

4. Exceptions we still honour

Outside the 14-day window we will consider a refund if:

  • A billing error charged you the wrong amount or charged you twice for the same period
  • A service outage prevented you from using Premium features for a significant portion of the paid period
  • You were charged after successfully cancelling (send us the cancellation confirmation)
  • Applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires it

Email the details and we will make it right.

5. Situations we won't refund

  • "I forgot to cancel" more than 14 days after the renewal charge on direct purchases
  • Account termination for violation of our Terms of Service
  • Chargebacks filed with your card issuer before contacting us — please email first; chargebacks are slower, more expensive for everyone, and can block you from re-subscribing
